Peace Camp 2006!

“Children of Mother Earth” will be the theme of Peace Camp 2006. The camp, sponsored by the ICPJ, will be held June 26-30, 8:30-11:30 a.m., at the Gettysburg Area Middle School. The campers will learn about stewardship of the earth, recycling, endangered species, and things they can do in their own community to help the earth. Director Sara Keefer is planning one or two field trips and several guest speakers.

Peace Camp is open to children from ages 5 to 12. There are opportunities for teens to attend as Junior Counselors. There is a $5 registration fee per family (regardless of the number of children), which can be waived in cases of hardship. For more information about Peace Camp, send an email to peacecamp@icpj-gettysburg.org, or leave us a message at (717) 334-0752. You may download a registration form on the website, www.icpj-gettysburg.org/peacecamp/index.html.

[Editor's note: Peace Camp is currently full; if you submit a registration form, your name will be added to the waiting list.]

A word of thanks: The application form mailed in the printed version of the newsletter is a black-and-white photocopy of a full-color form available elsewhere. We wish to thank Greg Allen of Graphcom for printing the color forms for us at no cost to us.
