Peace Camp Thanks
The ICPJ would like to thank the following individuals and
businesses for making this year’s Peace
Camp possible.
A heartfelt HUGE thanks to:
- GraphCom, for not only printing our Peace Camp songs but
staple binding them into book form with stunning color covers.
Impressive!
- Pepperidge
Farm, for providing $25 worth of amazingly delectable
cookies for our Rice Dinner snacks.
- The Dobbin House Tavern ,
for allowing us to traipse nearly 50 campers and volunteers through
the Underground Railroad display.
- Seeds to Success, for not only giving us great information
about their program, but feeding us a wonderful lunch as
well!
- Deb McCauslin, for an outstanding presentation on the underground
railroad in our area.
- The American Red Cross, for loaning the Glitter Bug for an
afternoon activity
- Lakshmi Viswanathan, for teaching the children not just
how to wear a saree, but a great deal about Hindu culture
as well.
- Bob Appleton, for sharing his knowledge of Leo Tolstoy’s
involvement in peace issues.
- Kayla Siviy, for sharing her knowledge of ASL.
- Nina Siviy, for providing keyboard backup for the musical
sections of Peace Camp.
- Joe Schroeder, for volunteering every day to provide a
much needed male presence and supervision of the little boys’ room!
- Mary Gemmill, for an incredible amount of work in preparing
cooperative games and other program materials for this year’s
camp.
- Our gracious town Mayor, who waived the fee for our permit
to Parade to the National Cemetery.
- Gettysburg Friends Meeting, which graciously donated $75
to defray the costs of Peace Camp.
