Iran Initiative Introduced in House

Thanks to Rep. Barbara Lee’s leadership we have a resolution to establish a high-level diplomacy with Iran.

HE.I.5056 has the title: To provide for the appointment of a high-level United States representative or special envoy for Iran for the purpose of easing tensions and normalizing relations between the United States and Iran. It was introduced on January 17, sponsored by Representative Barbara Lee (D, California), with a number of co-sponsors, and was referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
