Art's Council Sponsors Jazz Artist

Jazz and Blues guitarist, singer, poet, and songwriter Monnette Sudler will tour county schools and concert venues in Adams County, February 21-25, 2005, to celebrate African-American women's music and art. Her week long Arts in Education Residency will include performances and workshops at Gettysburg College, Harrisburg Area Community College, Gettysburg Middle School, Hoffman Homes for Youth, and an after school gathering at El Centro. Watch for special public performances for Black History Month with Monnette's son Erik,"Jazz-n-Hip-Hop", and Trapeta Mayson, poet, in "Sisters in Music and Poetry.”
