Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg Announce April Events

The Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg hold weekly Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. at 136 South Stratton Street, Gettysburg.  Rev. Ron Crawford, minister. Diversity honored. Everyone welcome.

April 1: Rev. Ronald B. Crawford, “What Is A Jew?” A brief overview of the Jewish way of life today and a look at the warmth and serenity of Judaism in its reflection of sixteen centuries of scholarly work to understand the world, the concept of God, and one’s place in life.

April 8: Rev. Ronald B. Crawford, “Living With Theological Diversity.” Is it possible to construct a coherent rationale for theological diversity acceptable to the full range of belief typical of most Unitarian Universalist congregations?

April 15: Inter-generational: A lay-led inter-generational service celebrating Earth Day.

April 22: Rev. Ronald B. Crawford, “Beyond Spirituality.” Beyond spirituality is transformation or becoming the one we were meant to be. Is this really possible? How do we manage this?

April 29: Inter-generational Service, Topic TBA.

April special events are as follows:

Buddhist Insight Meditation sessions occur in the sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalists on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and are ongoing. John Mulligan, practicing Buddhist, and Melissa Sandoe, practicing Sufi, are our leaders. For more information contact Sara at 334-2920, and leave a message.

April 15, Sunday, 2:00 p.m.: The Spiritual Group: The spiritual group is a culturally and spiritually diverse community encouraging growth and self-actualization through our recognition of oneness. We facilitate balance, transformation, and self-awareness through the spiritual practices of prayer, meditation, loving fellowship and service to others.

April 25: 4th Wednesday, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.: Knitters, Stitchers & Crafters: Bring a bag lunch. Stitch, knit, crochet, work on a craft project, or just chat with friends. Call Pru, 717-334-2920, and leave a message.
