Religious Humanism Discussion at UUG

At 7 p.m., Thursday, April 26, the “Challenging Beliefs” series at the Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg will feature a discussion of a book by William R. Murry, Reason and Reverence: Religious Humanism for the 21st Century (Boston: Skinner House Books, 2007).

A reviewer, Jerome A. Stone of the Meadville Lombard Theological School, calls this book “one of the best systematic affirmations of humanism as a way of life since Corliss Lamont’s The Philosophy of Humanism.”

The “Challenging Beliefs” series aims at stimulating thought about one’s personal philosophy and religious outlook. Study materials will be available at a table near the entrance to the church, located at 136 South Stratton Street, Gettysburg.

The discussion is open to the public. All views are welcome.
