Sister Dianna Ortiz to Lecture at College

Sister Dianna Ortiz, O.S.U., who was tortured in Guatemala in 1989, will deliver the annual Mahan Lecture at Gettysburg College on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m., in Room 260 of the College Union Building. Her topic will be “Torture–Where Is the Outrage?” She will also be signing copies of her book, The Blindfold’s Eye: My Journey from Torture to Truth. Sister Ortiz is the Executive Director of Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition International (TASSC). The lecture is sponsored by the College’s Philosophy Department. It is free and open to the public.
