Unitarian Universalists Announce Activities
The Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg hold weekly Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. at 136 South Stratton Street, Gettysburg. Rev. Ron Crawford is the minister. Everyone is welcome. Religious Education is held at the same time.
Meditation sessions are occurring in the sanctuary of the church on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. An eclectic approach is being used, which could include Buddhist insight meditation, techniques practiced by the American Meditation Association, or meditation involving movement, dance or chanting. All are welcome. There are no fees, but donations are welcome. For more information contact Sara Gondwe 717‑334‑2920 and leave message.
On Tuesday, March 21, Tuesday, at 7 p.m., at the church, there will be a discussion, “Challenging Beliefs,” part of a series of evening discussions of controversial writings on religion. Under review will be “God's Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get It,” by Jim Wallis (2005). The discussion is moderated by Bruce Boenau. Discussions are open to the public.
On Wednesday, March 22, from 1 to 3 p.m., Knitters & Stitchers meets at the church. Knit for SCCAP or work on your own project. For questions, call (717) 334-2920 and leave message for Pru.
