ICPJ Mourns Deaths of Scotts

Richard (Dick) and Elizabeth Scott, 2001 Peacemaker Award winners, died this past year, Dick on March 18, 2005, Elizabeth on January 10, 2006. They were founding members of the ICPJ, having retired here in 1984 after teaching in Beirut since the 1940s. In Beirut, they were founding members of Americans for Peace in the Middle East. Here in Gettysburg they were involved in Project Gettysburg-León, Mediation Services, the PA Coalition against the Death Penalty, and many other projects, as well as being the core of the ICPJ’s book discussion group. We mourn their passing.
