To Tsunami Relief Donors
[Editor's note: Click here to view pictures of the families receiving the boats and other equipment purchased with the One Boat at a Time funds.]
First, we would like to thank you for your gift to the “One Boat at a Time” campaign. Next we would like to introduce you to the work of the Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice. Founded in 1985, we are now in our twentieth year of promoting peace, justice, and environmental sustainability, with a focus on the Adams County community. In this newsletter, our first quarterly issue of 2005, you will read about our annual Peacemaker Award, Peace Camp, and Heritage Festival. You will also see Mary Furlong’s report from Zambia–typical of the substantive articles we try to carry. Please consider becoming members of the ICPJ. There is a form on the back of this newsletter. We suggest a donation of $25, but any amount is welcome. (To current members: All the money for the tsunami relief collection will go directly to Sri Lanka. We are not even deducting expenses. But since we began the campaign, we have received almost no donations for our regular expenses. Especially if you have not already given this year, please consider helping us out.)
